Circle Y also looks to lead the industry in technology innovation. Circle Y devised the “Flex 2” tree design. Flex 2 is designed with flexible bars which allow for maximum comfort for both horse and rider by conforming to the horse’s physique, even when the horse is in motion. And the seat is supported by one of the high density bars keeping the rider’s weight evenly distributed. This saddle doesn’t use a traditional laced skirt, but instead uses something they call a “tunnel” skirt. This reduces pressure along the horses spine along with the potential for rubbing and sore spots. The Flex 2 is a lightweight saddle, most styles are under 30 pounds. The stirrups are ergonomically designed to reduce knee and ankle fatigue.Circle Y also pioneered the Softee seat which minimizes the break-in period a new saddle needs. It also helps to reduce the strain to a rider’s knees and ankles. It is the preferred jockey saddle.
